Editorial Board and Staff

The Ohio State Online Music Journal (OSOM) is the electronic journal of the graduate music students at The Ohio State University. The Journal is published several times per year at www.osomjournal.org and is compiled and produced entirely by graduate music students at The Ohio State University with the support of the faculty of the School of Music. Each issue may include features such as articles, book reviews and comments pertaining to articles and reviews published here or elsewhere. OSOM may also publish announcements of upcoming conferences, calls for papers and abstracts of recently completed and in-progress dissertations of graduate music students at The Ohio State University.

History

The Journal of the Graduate Music Students at The Ohio State University began as an occasional publication of scholarly papers by graduate students in the several disciplinary areas of music at The Ohio State University. The Journal was first published in 1969 with the help of faculty advisor Norman Phelps. After lying dormant for roughly a decade, it was reformatted in 2008 as an online publication by graduate students Blake R. Henson and Benjamin Williams with the aid of faculty advisor Gregory Proctor.
