Brandon Hollihan
Brandon Hollihan will be graduating from The Ohio State University in June 2008 with an MA in Voice Pedagogy and an MM in Choral Conducting. He received his BA in Music from the University of Notre Dame in 2005. Hollihan serves as the choir director at Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hilliard, Ohio, and has worked with the OSU Men's Glee Club, Mastersingers and University Chorus. He performs with Opera Columbus and serves as a voice/piano teacher and accompanist throughout Central Ohio. Hollihan was also a finalist in the 2008 OSU Edward F. Hayes Graduate Research Forum for his research on vocal health in high school choral conductors.

Gabriel Miller is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Music Theory at The Ohio State University, where he studies under Gregory Proctor. He holds the BA in Music from Florida State University, the MCM in Church Music from Lee University, and the MA in Music Theory from The Ohio State University. His research interests range from Black popular music of the 1970s to the theories of Jean-Philippe Rameau and Hugo Riemann. In 2007 he presented two papers on the application of Jonathan Kramer's concepts of linear and nonlinear time to funk music. In 2008 he presented a paper, "The Death and Resurrection of Function," at the first annual Yale Graduate Music Symposium in New Haven, CT. He enjoys his role as songwriter, arranger, saxophonist, and background vocalist in the Columbus R&B band, Capital Sound. He is engaged to Samantha Mowery.

Violinist Laura Simna is a graduate student at The Ohio State University, where she studies with Dr. Kia-Hui Tan. She will graduate with an MM in Violin Performance and an MA in String Pedagogy. Laura earned her BA at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied violin with Eugenia Poustyreva. While there, she studied Eurhythmics under the direction of David Brown, head of the Eurhythmics department. In the summers, Laura attends the Marta Sanchez Dalcroze Training Center at Carnegie Mellon University, where she is in the process of earning a Dalcroze Certificate. While at the Dalcroze Training Center, Laura attended classes taught by Dalcroze instructors from around the world including Marie-Laure Bachmann, Marja-Leena Juntunen, Annabelle Joseph, Herbert Henke and Sylvia Del Bianco. She is currently researching pedagogical techniques in both string teaching and Dalcroze eurhythmics. Laura is also interested in non-classical violin performance. She has appeared on several rock albums and plays electric violin in a rock band.

David Nelson Tomasacci holds a BM degree in Composition, as well as a BA minor in Mathematics, from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA, where he studied composition with William Duckworth. Currently, Tomasacci is in his second year of M.M. in Composition studies at The Ohio State University, where he studies with Donald Harris and Thomas Wells. He is a GTA in the Music Theory and Composition department, and has taught first year Music Theory, undergraduate composition lessons, and assisted with Music Technology. His research interests include the late music of Alexander Scriabin, the music of Charles Ives, and various meta-theories of music.
